A yellow A tells you the letter is in the answer but not where you placed it. This page lists every five-letter word in the GuessNudge dataset that contains an A, in any position, so you can see what is still possible.

Filtering by a letter you know is included
A "contains" clue is weaker than a green tile, but combining it with one excluded position cuts the list sharply. If you know the A is not in position two, for example, only four slots remain — and each additional gray letter removes hundreds more candidates.
How to narrow the list further
